SENIOR AUTOMATION QC ENGINEER

ABOUT THE JOB

  • We're seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to spearhead the creation of an automation structure for the Onix Work platform, encompassing web and mobile applications. Your primary mission is to build this automation framework from the ground up, streamlining testing, enhancing quality, and reducing regression testing efforts with each release. 

  • To excel in this role, you should possess strong technical and automation test architecture skills while maintaining an open mindset for innovation and continual architectural evolution. In addition to your individual contributions, you'll lead our automation testing competency and guide fellow Quality Control (QC) team members. The Robot Framework is our foundation, but your creativity and expertise can explore additional approaches, allowing us to revolutionize software testing. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON, WHO WILL​​

  • Develop and maintain test scripts using Robot Framework, SeleniumLibrary (web testing), and AppiumLibrary (mobile app testing). 

  • Architect and build a scalable automation test framework from scratch. 

  • Integrate automation tests into Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Organize Custom Keywords, Test Suites, and Resource Files for a reusable automation framework. 

  • Categorize and group test cases and keywords efficiently using tags. 

  • Implement data-driven testing with external data sources. 

  • Manage Resource Files as page objects for specific interactions. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality. 

  • Identify and report software defects, facilitating timely resolutions. 

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, test automation trends, and AI. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. 

  • Provide support and documentation.

A POTENTIAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience in Robot Framework, SeleniumLibrary, and AppiumLibrary test automation.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, C#, and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on web testing.

  • Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch.

  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools for test automation integration.

  • Strong organizational skills for structuring and managing test suites, resource files, and keywords effectively.

  • Proficiency in handling test data, including data-driven testing and parameterization.

  • Experience in test reporting and logging using Robot Framework or custom solutions.

  • Proficiency in Git version control systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Efficient debugging and troubleshooting of test failures.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Knowledge of security testing concepts and techniques (a plus).

  • Understanding of mobile app development concepts, platforms, and device configurations (a plus).

  • Relevant certifications in software testing or test automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium, Robot Framework) are a plus.
