  • ​We are seeking a highly skilled developer with database specialized background to work with our team of developers and DevOps in creating a high performing SaaS solution.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON, WHO WILL​

  • Understand the preferred outcomes

  • Work with the development team on database design.

  • Ensuring secure and scalable database design.

  • Ensure high performance on database level

  • Deployment of database updates

  • Ensuring databases in production are optimized

A POTENTIAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

 

REQUIRED

  • Experience working with distributed systems

  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS)

  • Experience with MongoDB/Mongoose

  • Experience with Relational databases such as SQL Server

  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS

  • Experience with React

  • Experience with GraphQL (particularly the Apollo stack)

  • Solid understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms.

  • Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience

  • Software development experience

  • Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Ability to develop and apply creative and innovative solutions to problems.

  • Sees the merits of perspectives other than their own

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

  • Pursues self-development on a continual basis

  • Be a team player. Have opinions and listen to others.

  • Experience with Node/NPM

 

DESIRED

  • Knowledge of the maritime industry a big plus

  • You want to contribute to a greener world

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)

  • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Istanbul)

  • Experience with Material Design and Material UI

  • Experience with map utilities (MapBox, OpenLayers, Leaflet, Google)

  • Experience with JS lin ters (e.g. ESLint)

  • Passionate about UI/UX

  • Expertise with responsive design

  • Experience working within Agile methodology

  • Experience with development lifecycle tools & processes, build systems, branching & merging, and automated testing

  • Interest in other frameworks/platforms/runtimes

  • Strong analytical skills – be a problem solver and be able to develop complex algorithms

  • Strong written and oral communications skills (English)
